This book is an adaptation of addresses held in Germany and Switzerland more than a decade ago and translated into English. Scriptural references and quotations in the text are taken from J.N. Darby's translation of the Bible in preference to other versions for the sake of literal accuracy. The writer senses the feebleness of an earthly creature trying to enter into the glorious counsel of God based on the wondrous work of the Lord Jesus on the cross and realized through the action of the Holy Spirit. How limited is man's expression when it comes to imparting the truth received through the light of the Holy Spirit! Yet it is a comforting thought that God the Holy Spirit is able to achieve His purpose in spite of the weakness of the instrument used. May the Lord therefore turn this book to the blessing of all who read it.
